Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce another high profile addition to its Corporate Practice, with partner Adele Hogan joining the firm’s New York office. Having worked on more than 235 deals totalling over US$250 billion in her career, Adele is an experienced corporate deal maker. She will augment the firm’s international transactional practice and is another example of the firm’s commitment to investing in and growing its client offerings.
Adele brings with her a broad corporate practice to WFW with a focus on capital markets and securities offerings. She has been ranked as a “leading individual” in Chambers USA and named in New York Best Lawyers for Securities/Capital Markets. She has also served as the New York City Bar Association’s Chairman of the Securities Regulation Committee and the Financial Reporting Committee, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Business Law Committee. In addition to her capital markets work, Adele advises on M&A and private equity deals, bankruptcy and restructuring transactions and corporate governance, compliance and regulatory matters.
Along with corporate partners Martin Thomas and Dearbhla Quigley, who joined WFW in London this week, Adele’s arrival adds further depth to the firm’s international transactional capability.
Head of WFW New York, partner Dan Rodgers said: “Having such a highly respected lawyer as Adele join WFW speaks to the ambition of our New York office and the firm overall. Her expertise in the securities markets allows us to really ramp up our corporate and securities offerings capabilities. She will be a tremendous asset for our Maritime, Real Estate and Finance practices in New York, allowing us to advise clients on a full range of financing and strategic options.”
WFW Managing Partner Chris Lowe, added: “In Adele, Martin Thomas and Dearbhla Quigley, WFW has added three top quality partners who are not only great practitioners and highly regarded in their respective markets, but also a great fit for the firm’s collaborative and entrepreneurial culture.”
Adele Hogan said: “Joining Watson Farley & Williams is an exciting opportunity for me and my clientele, not only because of the firm’s highly regarded established practices, but also because of the firm’s commitment to growth and its ambition to expand its services offerings in its core sectors and selectively in related areas.”
