Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has advised FHH Immobilien 12 – Studieren und Wohnen GmbH & Co. KG, on its acquisition of majority interests in two special-purpose companies of GBI AG Gesellschaft für Beteiligungen und Immobilienentwicklungen.

FHH Immobilien 12 – Studieren und Wohnen GmbH & Co. KG is an investment trust of FHH Fondshaus Hamburg Gesellschaft für Unternehmensbeteiligungen mbH & Co. KG (“FHH Fondshaus Hamburg”), and GBI AG Gesellschaft für Beteiligungen und Immobilienentwicklungen is an investment company affiliated with Moses Mendelssohn Stiftung.

The two special-purpose companies are building student houses in Hamburg and Frankfurt to be let under the “SMARTments” brand by a non-profit foundation, as lessor. The parties have agreed not to disclose the details of the transaction.

It focuses on property acquisition, structuring and issuing of shipping and real estate funds as well as investor and property management.
