International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce that Michael Lubin and Jeffrey Rendin have joined the firm’s real estate group in New York as Counsel. Michael joined the firm on June 14th and Jeffrey joins today.
Michael was previously at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan where he was real estate special counsel. Michael represents institutional investors, private equity firms, financial institutions, developers, real estate investment trusts, tax-exempt organizations and individuals on a broad range of real estate matters including development, joint ventures, equity and debt financing, leasing and management.
Prior to joining WFW, Jeffrey worked in the Office of the New York Attorney General (Real Estate Finance Bureau), most recently as special counsel and prior to that as Chief of Enforcement and Assistant Attorney General. Jeffrey led several of the Bureau’s major fraud investigations, as well as defending the State in Article 78 proceedings. He has also drafted policy memoranda and regulatory guidance concerning the offer and sale of co-operative interests in realty.
WFW New York Head Daniel Rodgers commented: “We are delighted to welcome Michael and Jeffrey. Having them join us is a further boost to the continued expansion of our real estate group, hot on the heels of the hire of litigation partner Josh Sohn and his team from Mishcon de Reya announced on June 6, 2016.”
