Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to welcome Counsel Giuseppe Franch to the Tax team in the firm’s Milan office. Giuseppe joins the firm from Allen & Overy, where he was senior associate in the Tax department.

Giuseppe has been a Certified Public Accountant (Revisore dei Conti) since 2001, with a Commercial Law degree from “L. Bocconi” University of Milan. He is bilingual Italian-German and he has more than 18 years of experience in the tax sector.

Giuseppe specialises in advising on domestic and international taxation, including the planning and implementation of corporate reorganisations, M&A operations and transfer pricing issues. He is also an expert in tax matters related to private equity transactions, in particular  the tax aspects of investments and exits by investment funds. Most recently Giuseppe has been involved in several acquisitions and reorganisations in two of WFW’s specialist sectors,  real estate and energy.

WFW Head of Italy Eugenio Tranchino said: “The addition of Giuseppe Franch to our team shows the strong brand WFW possesses in the Italian market and the attractiveness of the firm to potential recruits. It also highlights WFW’s willingness to continue to invest in the firm to satisfy the growing requests for legal services from our clients, particularly in our key sectors.”

Giuseppe Franch’s move follows the recent arrival of Nunzio Bicchieri and Elena Macchi, who joined the Infrastructure and Administrative team in September 2015 and the arrival of Pierpaolo Mastromarini and Michele Arruzzolo in the Project Finance department in December 2014.
