WFW Chairman Frank Dunne hosted a dinner last night in the London office for Stephen Hammond MP, UK Parliamentary Under Secretary for Transport. Mr Hammond has a broad transportation responsibility which includes shipping. Arriving fresh from the UK Chancellor’s Budget announcement, the Minister took the opportunity to discuss the government’s strong support for the cluster of maritime and maritime services in the UK and his role in promoting those sectors overseas.
Frank Dunne said “It was an honour for the firm to receive this visit from a busy Minister and we greatly appreciated the opportunity to share our perspective on the maritime sector with him. We were hugely impressed by the Minister’s understanding and commitment to the sector”.
The dinner was also attended by Michael Sedgwick from the Department for Transport, as well as WFW founding partner Martin Watson and WFW London partners Michael Greville, David Osborne and Nigel Thomas.
