Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that Partner and Italy Head Eugenio Tranchino has been named “Lawyer of the Year – Renewable Energy” at the Legalcommunity Energy Awards 2018.
Now in its fifteenth year, the award ceremony took place at Superstudio Più in Milan on Monday 30 January.
Around 700 people attended, including general and legal counsel, bankers, financial advisors, press, and legal specialists from leading Italian and international law firms.
Eugenio was recognised as Italy’s best lawyer for renewable energy law for his “prestigious and wide renewable energy track record”. Clients noted that “He is an excellent professional with a strong competence in all energy-related matters.”
Winners were chosen by an expert panel consisting of leading operators and financial professionals in the Italian energy market.
WFW’s acknowledged expertise in the renewable energy sector is also demonstrated by its recently being ranked 1st by deal count worldwide in leading sector publisher Inspiratia’s 2017 renewables legal adviser rankings for the first time ever. The firm was also top ranked in Inframation’s FY17 Project Finance League Table and Trend Report, with key results including 2nd by deal count – Italian legal advisor.
