WFW promotes two new partners in the Munich Corporate Group

Watson, Farley & Williams (WFW), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of two new German partners, taking effect from 1 May 2013. Four partners have been promoted at the firm, two in Munich and two in London. Dr. Ahmad Khonsari and Daniel Marhewka, two senior associates of the Munich Corporate Group have been promoted to partner. Dr. Ahmad Khonsari joined Watson, Farley & Williams in 2007 and specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate law. In December 2012, he moved to Munich from the firm’s Hamburg office. Daniel Marhewka has been part of the team of private equity specialist Dr. Simon Preisenberger since the opening of the Munich office in 2008. He specialises in M&A transactions with a particular focus on the renewable energy sector. Lothar Wegener, partner and head of WFW Germany commented: “The partner promotions reflect the dynamic growth of the practice and allows us to enhance our innovative client work with outstanding partners.“ Dr. Simon Preisenberger, partner and head of WFW Munich explained: “The announcement of Daniel Marhewka and Dr. Ahmad Khonsari as partners will consolidate and expand our recognised Private Equity and Mergers & Acquistions practice. It will further strengthen our leading energy transactional practice in Munich.“ Furthermore, associates Jahnavi Ramachandran and Kavita Shah of the Asset Finance Group in London have been promoted to partners, bringing the total number of partners to 126 worldwide.
