Oliver is an aviation Partner based in the Dubai office, from where he leads the Transportation Finance Practice in the MENA region. His practice has a primary focus on aviation finance matters, providing advice to financiers, owners and operators in all types of transaction structures in all major jurisdictions. In addition, Oliver has experience acting for financiers and operators in relation to ship finance transactions.

Oliver is experienced in negotiating and executing international aircraft and engine financing, leasing and trading transactions, and has advised clients that together represent the full range of industry participants in respect of transactions concerning all classes of commercial and business aircraft. Oliver’s practice is notably active in the corporate jet market, where he has a strong practice representing financiers, high net-worth individuals and operators.

    • A UAE bank on the US$105m financing of Bombardier Learjet 60XR aircraft, Bombardier Global 5000 aircraft and Boeing 737-700 BBJ aircraft operated by an Abu Dhabi airline.
    • A UAE airline on the US$140m delivery financing by a Japanese bank of four Airbus A320-214 aircraft.
    • A Saudi corporate on the US$77m purchase, operation, financing and outfitting of an Airbus A320 ACJ.
    • A UAE bank on the US$116m pre-delivery financing of Boeing 737-700 BBJ aircraft operated by an Abu Dhabi airline.
    • A US corporate on the US$25m purchase, operation and subsequent refinancing of Embraer 190 Lineage 1000 aircraft.
    • A Middle Eastern business jet operator in relation to standard precedent management and operation agreements.
    • A Middle Eastern State on the purchase and VIP outfitting of an Airbus A340-600 aircraft.
    • An engine lessor on the leasing of Rolls-Royce aircraft engines in the UAE.
    • A UAE asset financier on drafting standard yacht financing documentation for yachts registered in the UAE.
