Rob is a Consultant in the London Corporate group. He is a corporate and finance specialist and advises on cross-border debt and equity investments, M&A and restructuring, with a focus on businesses located in China, Central Asia and Eastern and Central Europe. He also advises clients on capital market fundraisings, with particular experience of London and Hong Kong listings and secondary offerings.

Rob’s experience includes 18 months working within EBRD’s Office of General Counsel, where he advised on a variety of financial institution and non-financial institution debt and equity deals in Eastern Europe, CIS and SEMED.

    • An international financial institution on a secured loan to a municipal energy company in Jordan for the purposes of the construction, development and operation of a district heating and cooling plant.
    • An international financial institution on a complex equity swap in one of the largest media and telecommunication corporations in Poland.
    • An international financial institution on its initial investment into a state-owned bank in Latvia and subsequent further investment and restructuring.
    • An international financial institution on its further investment in one of the leading Russian food retailers, consisting of €200m in equity and loan financing.
    • An Australian listed asset finance company on the acquisition of a UK asset finance business and UK joint venture.
    • A financial services company on its acquisition of a consumer loan business.
    • A UK Main Market investment holding company that focuses on investments in China, on the publication of a prospectus approved by the UK Listing authority to effect a placing and open offer.
    • A UK Main Market investment holding company that focuses on investments in China on the publication of a Class One Circular under the UK Listing Rules to effect a partial disposal and flotation on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange of its interest in its pharmaceutical subsidiary.
    • An AIM traded real estate fund, on its €10.5m secondary fundraising by way of placing and open offer to finance and provide further working capital to its Central and Eastern European property portfolio.
    • EBRD on a project finance matter for the construction, development and operation of a 108 MW hydropower plant and a substation in Georgia.
    • An international financial institution on a senior term loan to the leading glass producer in Turkey to finance the energy efficiency investments and glass recycling project in Turkey.
    • An international financial institution on its long-term senior loan to an Egyptian subsidiary of the largest ready-mix company in the world.
