Robert re-joined WFW in May 2010 having previously worked at the firm in the 1990s. He is a commercial contracts and dispute resolution lawyer with a broad range of experience across industry sectors, with particular emphasis in shipbuilding, offshore construction and power (including renewables). Robert’s experience includes acting for leading shipowners and offshore contractors, well known shipyards, as well as major utilities.  Most recently he has been heavily engaged on a number of high profile cruise newbuilding projects.

    Robert’s experiences includes advising:
    • Various leading cruise companies with regard to the conclusion of major orders for new vessel classes.
    • Shipowner clients in connection with the cancellation of shipbuilding contracts at STX Offshore & Shipbuilding Co Ltd.
    • Reliance Industries on the negotiation of shipbuilding contracts for the construction of the world’s first VLECs (Very Large Ethane Carriers).
