Stephen is a Partner in the firm’s London office. His practice covers a broad range of work, including restructuring and insolvency; banking and finance litigation and contentious advisory; and commercial litigation and arbitration.

Stephen’s clients include investment banks, hedge funds, private equity funds, CMBS servicers, insolvency practitioners and corporates.

Experience Open

    Stephen’s experience includes advising:
    • Deutsche Bank as note trustee, cash manager and security trustee in relation to the Fairhold Commercial Mortgage Backed Securitisation (“CMBS”).
    • The Royal Bank of Scotland as agent bank and the lender syndicate on the restructuring of a German real estate loan.
    • CBRE Loan Servicing as special servicer in relation to the Gemini (Eclipse 2006-3) CMBS, including on the enforcement of the loan in Guernsey, England and Scotland and a High Court application to determine the correct allocation of recoveries on the loan.
    • The Government of the Republic of Rwanda in an ICC investor-state arbitration arising from an investment dispute relating to a gas extraction and power generation project on Lake Kivu.
