Verena Scheibe is a Partner in the Tax group in the Hamburg and Munich offices of Watson Farley & Williams. She was admitted as a certified tax advisor (Steuerberater) in 2004.

She specialises in tax matters relating to M&A and private equity as well as real estate transactions with an emphasis on funds/alternative Investment funds (AIFs) and institutional investors. She also focuses on the tax structuring and tax advice of national and international renewable energy and aviation transactions.

Verena’s clients include funds, AIFs, financial Investors, as well as real estate, private equity and municipal utilities companies.

Experience Open

    Verena’s experience includes advising:

    • Global private equity firm The Riverside Company on the sale of its investment in Rameder Anhängerkupplungen und Autoteile GmbH to Munich-based private equity firm Findos Investor.
    • Private equity funds Equita GmbH & Co. Holding KGaA and Equita GmbH & Co. CoVest KGaA on the acquisition of a majority shareholding in Windstar Medical Group, a leading provider of non-prescription healthcare products.
    • UNIBAIL‐RODAMCO SE and its German subsidiary mfi management für Immobilien AG on all tax matters relating to the urban planning and acquisition of land covering a total of 228,000m² in Überseequartier in HafenCity in Hamburg.
    • Allianz Renewable Energy Fund on the acquisition of the Rehfeld (12 MW) and Göllnitz-West (24 MW) wind farms in the German federal state of Brandenburg.
    • TAG Immobilien AG on the acquisition of an extensive residential real estate portfolio containing approximately 2,300 residential units, effected by share deal. The purchase price was €103m.
    • Panattoni on the structuring and tax aspects relating to two logistics buildings in Bremen and Bodenheim.
    • Stadtwerke Lübeck, an energy supplier, on the legal and tax aspects of the acquisition of shares in a 20 MWp solar farm in the region of Thuringia.
    • Conetwork on the acquisition of two solar farms in Eggersdorf and Halberstadt , with a capacity of 20 MWp and 18.2 MWp respectively.
    • A German closed-end fund sponsor on the acquisition of an office building at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport.
    • Singapore Airlines on the ASPV/GOL sale and leaseback transaction of one A380-800 aircraft.
