We Further Women, WFW’s global women’s initiative, is dedicated to furthering gender balance in our firm and the sectors in which we operate.
Our focus is to ensure the long-term sustainability of the firm through promoting the values of teamwork, inclusivity, collaboration, and transparency. We want to create clear career paths and opportunities for all by ensuring our people have the chance to develop, express their views and ideas, have the opportunity to grow and see their careers fulfilled within the firm.
We truly value our diverse workforce. Encouraging diversity of thought and drawing on different perspectives means that we can provide innovative solutions to our clients’ most complex matters.
For this reason, we’re working hard to develop a diverse pipeline of talent and we are taking action through our Global Diversity & Inclusion Strategy to help us achieve this.

Our D&I Networks help us raise awareness of different backgrounds and perspectives and work with the firm to help us further develop our inclusive working environment. Each of them offers the opportunity to meet new people from across our offices and organise a range of events and activities throughout the year, which are open to all.

In recognition of this theme, MOSAIC, WFW’s Ethnic & Racial Diversity Network, marked the occasion by showcasing the stories of leading black women from the world of business and law.
Visible and active allyship can have a transformative affect on LGBT+ people at work, which is why it is a key area of focus for PROUD. Since launching their ‘How to be an effective LGBT+ Ally’ guide in 2021, the network has organised a range of activities to help colleagues learn from the experiences of LGBT+ people and share simple steps that people can take to show their support.
In this article we consider the benefits of a diverse workforce and how the construction industry can plug the diversity gap.
We want to develop an environment where working parents can develop their career and also feel supported in balancing their role with family commitments.
Proactively taking steps to widen the pool of talent from which we recruit is a key focus of our D&I Strategy.
