Our focus this time is on the draft of the Public Procurement Transformation Pact. We provide an initial overview of the long-awaited innovations in public procurement law. It remains to be seen whether the hoped-for simplifications will materialise and innovative approaches will actually be implemented. The fact is that public procurement will increasingly be used as an instrument for implementing aspects of sustainability and the associated legal changes will require a rethink on the part of procurement organisations.
