Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that Asia Assets and Structured Finance Group Head Madeline Leong has been named ‘Shipping & Maritime Lawyer of the Year’ at Euromoney’s Asia Women in Business Law Awards (“WIBLA”) 2022.
WIBLA brings together the best female lawyers from across the region to celebrate the advancements of women in the legal profession, both in-house and in private practice. The awards recognise excellence and innovation across the legal sector and place great importance on celebrating diversity and inclusion through progressive initiatives including gender diversity, innovation, mentoring, talent management and pro bono work in the industry.

Madeline is ranked as a ‘Star Individual’ in the Chambers Greater China guide for shipping finance in the region and is included in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame 2022. She was also named as one of leading maritime publication Lloyd’s List’s Top 10 Maritime Lawyers of 2020 and is recognised as “Euromoney’s ‘Best in Shipping’ for both 2018 and 2020.
