Episode one – Employment
The evolving role of women in business calls for reflection on the responsibilities and duties of companies.
The first Italian webinar on 17 October 2023 reviewed the European Directive No. 2023/970 and other instruments to contrast the gender gap. WFW Counsel Roberta Cristaldi and President of Young Women Network Veronica Buonocore focussed on the new developments related to women’s work.
EPISODE TWO – ENERGY
Renewable energy communities (RECs) are complex entities currently under increasing development in Italy. RECs represent an important opportunity for public and private companies to improve energy efficiency.
In our second webinar, we analysed the legal and regulatory difficulties related to this issue, as well as some practical cases of already implemented RECs and opened a debate on how RECs can play an important role in promoting women’s contribution to the energy transition.
Partner Tiziana Manenti hosted and moderated a panel composed of WFW Senior Associate Arianna Neri, Veronica Pitea (President of A.C.E.P.E.R.), Gisella Novelli (Managing Director of Raffeisen Energy), Agnese Rocco (Country Manager Italy of Solarig) and Tamara Favaro (Researcher of Università di Pisa).
EPISODE Three – REAL Estate
The value of inclusive spaces. Inclusive spaces are physical and social places designed to be accessible, welcoming and safe for everyone, regardless of individual differences such as age, gender, ability, ethnic origin, sexual orientation or economic status.
In our third webinar, we explored through first-hand accounts and case studies, the strategies to realise such spaces, their positive impacts on individual and collective well-being and how they can stimulate innovation and economic growth.
We were pleased to be joined by Elena Lattuada (Delegate of the Mayor for Gender Equality of the Municipality of Milan), Lily Scarponi (Researcher at Transform Transport), Laura Galluzzo (Assistant Professor and Operational Manager at Polimi Desis Lab, Politecnico di Milano), Maria Luisa Daglia (Country Manager, Agilité) and Susanna Rock (Co-Founder of Gravity Co-Living).
EPISODE FOUR – TRANSPORT
The mobility of the future: between sustainability, integration and innovation. What kind of mobility is ahead of us?
In our fourth webinar, we discussed electric mobility, including hydrogen mobility. We provided initial assessments of what has been achieved and what problems still exist, taking into account both light and heavy transport. Finally, we identified the challenges still to be overcome for sustainable and inclusive urban mobility.
WFW Counsel Arianna Neri moderated the panel composed of Lisa Bigozzi (Business Coordinator of E.ON Drive Infrastructure), Lavinia Biffi (Head of Mobility Projects and Hydrogen Unit of Edison) and Maxentia Montanari (Area Manager of Public Bus of MAN Truck&Bus Italia).
