Aditi is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution Group.

Aditi has acted for and advised a wide range of clients, including commodity trading houses, miners, oil supermajors, owners, charterers, and trade financers in commercial dispute resolution, with a focus on dry shipping, commodities and trade finance.

Her breadth of experience includes acting for the firm’s clients in arbitration proceedings under major arbitration rules, such as the HKIAC, SIAC and ICC Rules.

She brings a multi-jurisdictional perspective to her legal practice, being qualified as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India since 2023.

Aditi is fluent in English and Hindi.

  • Advising the trading arm of a State-owned metal and mineral mining company in an arbitration with a value of US$9m under the SIAC Rules against a Singapore-based trader for breach of contract relating to the sale and purchase of coal.
  • Advising a commodity trading house in an arbitration with a value of US$3.5m under the SIAC Rules for a trade credit insurance claim against two insurers.
  • Acting for and advising a leading miner in an arbitration with a value of US$25m under the ICC Rules against an Indian conglomerate for breach of a long-term contract for the sale and purchase of bauxite.
  • Assisting a miner under a monthly retainer in relation to a range of discrete legal issues, including providing advice on, and thereafter initiating or defending, various shipping and commodity claims involving speed and consumption, unsafe ports, calculation of laytime and demurrage, and force majeure.
