As General Counsel, Chris focusses on the organisational and structural requirements of a complex organisation operating in 15 different countries. He provides robust yet pragmatic support to senior management on a wide variety of legal and regulatory issues, including regulatory reporting, claims and complaints, working closely with the Director of Risk & Compliance.

Chris and his team support partners and staff by reviewing contracts the firm enters into, proposed arrangements with suppliers or other third parties and non-standard situations arising in client work. Additionally, he chairs the firm’s Ethics and Risk Committee.

Chris joined the firm in 2024, bringing with him extensive experience from senior Risk & Compliance roles in major international law firms, which he has held since 2001. He qualified as a solicitor at Clifford Chance in 1986 and initially worked as a litigator before transitioning to in-house roles in 1993.
