Esteira Hiwaizi
Associate London
Esteira is an Associate in the London Projects Group.
Esteira has experience working in project finance and infrastructure finance. Her particular focuses are on the renewable energy sector (including solar, offshore and onshore wind) and export finance. She also has trade finance, M&A and construction experience.
Esteira recently completed a secondment to the structured lending and advisory legal team at a major UK bank, where she assisted on a wide range of transactions, including leveraged finance, infrastructure finance and export finance transactions (including both UKEF-backed and multi-ECA transactions).
Since joining the firm, Esteira has spent time working in the firm’s London and Bangkok offices.
- Advising Lightsource bp in relation to a US$1.8bn revolving credit facility encompassing multiple currencies and trade financing features, to be used for its global growth strategy of developing 25 GW of solar energy by 2025.
- Advising National Westminster Bank plc as lenders on the £30m financing of a portfolio of UK rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects, owned by Innova Energy, with a total installed capacity of 57 MW.
- Advising a global solar developer in relation to an up to £1.8bn guarantee-backed financing with a common terms agreement structure enabling flexibility for the addition of new debt and tranches, and advising on the establishment of various facilities and tranches thereunder
- Advising Sequoia Economic Infrastructure Income Fund as secured creditor regarding the energy administration of Bulb Energy Limited in the first ever use of the UK’s energy supply company administration regime.
- Advising TotalEnergies on its sale of a 25.5% equity stake in the Seagreen offshore wind farm for £522m to PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited, a subsidiary of Thailand’s national oil and gas company PTT.
