Ifigeneia is an Associate in the Assets & Structured Finance Group.

Ifigeneia’ s practice focusses on cross-border shipping finance transactions in relation to every type of vessel, advising major international banks and financial institutions. She handles every aspect of a transaction, such as regular financings, re-financings, post-delivery financings, from the beginning to the closing and the post-closing arrangements.

She also liaises with the shipping companies’ representatives guiding them through the various stages of the transaction and coordinating the entire process, as well as with escrow agents, correspondent counsels, registries, insurers and every other major actor involved in such deals. She assists in the negotiations in the sale and purchase of second hand and new building vessels, too.

Her Greek law practice also covers shipping finance matters in relation to Greek bank accounts and vessels registered under the Greek flag, as well as a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, mainly non-contentious.

Ifigeneia joined the firm in July 2023.

She is a qualified lawyer in Greece and in preparatory stage to be qualified in England & Wales too.

  • Advising a Greek bank on a senior secured term loan facility to a leading Greek shipowner for the acquisition of one of their most recent Japanese-built bulk carrier.
  • Acting for a Swiss bank in relation to a US80m loan facility to a well-known Cypriot shipping company for the post-delivery financing of two bulk carriers.
