John is a Partner (Foreign Legal Consultant, New York) in the Projects & Corporate team.
His practice focusses on international capital markets, working on a variety of debt and equity offerings by Asian issuers, including common stock offerings, investment-grade bond offerings, sustainability-linked offerings, as well as other cross-border corporate transactions. He has worked on multiple securitisation and cross-board settings as well.
John’s practice also extends to advising clients on cross-border finance transactions, including corporate finance, ECA finance and real estate finance in multiple jurisdictions.
He is a native Korean speaker and fluent in English.
- Advising a major securities company in relation to a dual tranche floating rate note issued by a Korean major company.
- Advising an international bank acting as mandated lead arranger in relation to US$150m sustainability linked notes due 2029 issued by one of the largest Korean manufacturing company.
- Advising a syndicate of international banks acting as joint mandated lead arrangers in relation to US$300m notes due 2027 issued by one of the Korea.
- Advising a syndicated of international banks on a US$1bn K-SURE backed facility for a Korean chip maker in relation to the purchase of equipment.
- Advising an international bank in relation to the repack type of securitisation works.
