Juan Viaño

Juan is an Associate in the Banking and Finance Group.
His main area of expertise is advising banks and private developers on structured and project finance transactions, with a particular focus on energy and infrastructure projects.
Juan also has experience in financial transactions covering syndicated financings, debt restructurings and refinancing transactions.
Before joining Watson Farley & Williams, Juan was an associate at Araoz & Rueda Abogados in the banking and finance team.
- Advising JP Morgan on the acquisition of Itasa from Magnum Industrial Partners by Neenah Grows and on the granting of the Spanish security package in the asset-based lending financing.
- Advising Grupo Inversor Hesperia, S.A. and its subsidiaries on the negotiation and signing of the contracts relating to the Public Financial Support amounting to € 55,000,000 charged to the Solvency Support Fund for Strategic Companies managed by SEPI.
- Advising Capital Partners, together with the Miura Partners fund, in the leveraged buy-out from Magnum Capital fund of Indiba, a medical equipment company for medical, physiotherapy and aesthetics professionals.
- Advising a pool of 15 financial institutions led by Caixabank and Unicaja on the restructuring of the financial debt of multinational company dedicated to technological innovation.

Juan es Asociado del Departamento de Derecho Bancario y Financiero.
Su principal área de especialización es el asesoramiento a bancos y fondos de inversión en operaciones de financiación estructurada y de proyectos, con especial atención a proyectos de energía e infraestructuras.
Juan también tiene experiencia en financiaciones sindicadas, reestructuraciones de deuda y refinanciaciones.
Antes de incorporarse a Watson Farley & Williams, Juan fue asociado del equipo de Banking and Finance de Araoz & Rueda Abogados.
