Michala is a Knowledge Lawyer in the Dispute Resolution Group.

Michala’s sector focus is construction with experience in international arbitration, having worked on large international construction projects. Her recent work experience includes advising clients on large-scale offshore wind and infrastructure disputes. Having spent six months in the Middle East she has experience with disputes in multitude of jurisdictions. She is dual English and Slovak qualified and speaks several languages.

  • Advised a contractor in relation to upstream and downstream DAB and DIS Arbitration disputes on a large offshore wind project in respect of delays and defects.
  • Advised an employer in respect of a potential dispute on the largest UK offshore floating wind farm.
  • Advised a contractor with regards to an adjudication for a national infrastructure project in respect of subcontractor-related disruption, delays and prolongation.
  • Assisted with advising an employer on a large PPP public highway project that resulted in ICC Arbitration proceedings over permitting issues and resulting delays.
  • Assisted with advising an employer on several large international ICC Arbitrations with regard to delays, alleged defects and non-disclosure of relevant information resulting in extension of time and alleged losses by the contractor.
