Nerina is counsel in the London Corporate group.
Nerina’s practice focusses on domestic and cross-border M&A, joint ventures and private equity transactions.
She is experienced across a number of sectors with a particular focus on energy and infrastructure transactions.
Nerina is a dual qualified lawyer, qualified in England and Wales and South Africa. Before moving to London, she practised in South Africa where she gained broad experience in corporate M&A and general corporate and commercial law in South Africa and the rest of Africa.
- Creditas Assets (a Czech investment fund) on its acquisition of InterGen Projects (UK) Limited. InterGen is one the largest independent power producers in the UK with around 2,800 MW in operation between three combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plants and one open cycle gas turbine (OCGT) plant and a 450 MW battery energy storage system project due to commence operations in 2025.
- CNG Fuels Ltd on an initial £80m funding by Foresight Group in a joint venture to build a nationwide network of refuelling stations that will allow heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to run on carbon neutral fuel. This project won IJ Global’s ESG Transport Deal of the Year Award 2021.
- LeapFrog Investments, a Profit with Purpose investment firm, on its acquisition of a 16.94% stake in Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited (Ghana’s largest privately owned bank) from Amethis and Edmond de Rothschild Equity Strategies (including advising on its shareholding arrangements following such acquisition).
- Lightsource bp on the sale of a portfolio of 58 operational assets to a consortium comprising GLIL Infrastructure and Bluefield Solar Income Fund.
- H.R.L. Morrison & Co (NZ) on the establishment of its European renewable energy platform, Galileo Green Energy GmbH (including advising on its shareholder arrangements).
