Randeep is a partner in the asset and structured finance group.
Randeep is an expert in asset finance and leasing, with the majority of his practice focussed on the aviation and aerospace industries. He has advised on some of the largest, most innovative and high-profile asset finance and leasing transactions in the market and has advised arrangers, financiers, export credit agencies, equity investors, leasing companies and operators on the full range of aircraft, satellite and other asset-based or receivables-backed financing, capital markets and leasing transactions. This extensive and wide-ranging transactional experience and knowledge has made Randeep a valuable resource for clients seeking to enter into complex, international aviation and aerospace transactions.
Randeep has previously completed secondments at HSBC and Goldman Sachs.
- Advising Avilease on the US$3.6bn purchase of Standard Chartered Bank’s global aviation leasing business including a US$2.1bn associated acquisition finance facility (M&A Deal of the Year at the Airline Economics Awards 2023).
- Advising Vistara on a market first finance lease transaction for A320neo aircraft through Gift City using a non-wholly owned subsidiary.
- Advising Coface (Bpifrance) and a syndicate of lenders on the US$1bn export credit backed project financing of an MEO satellite constellation of twenty satellites for broadband communications services for O3b Networks Limited, including their procurement, insurance, launch, intercreditor arrangements and restructuring.
- Advising both satellite operators, ECAs and banks on each of the financed low earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellations that have come to market, including Telesat Lightspeed and OneWeb.
- Advising SACE and Bpifrance on the world’s first Euro denominated ECA bond issuance for the refinancing of five ATR aircraft on lease to the Avianca Group.
