Riko is a Partner in the Project and Structured Finance Group.
Riko specialises in all aspects of infrastructure and energy transactions. Riko has extensive experience in the project development, the project financing, the export credit financing and the restructuring of such transactions and covers a wide range of infrastructure and energy sectors including airports, ports, roads, tunnels, hospitals, waste, solar, wind and hydro. Riko has a particular expertise in PPP transactions. He acts for project developers, sponsors, equity investors, project companies, multilaterals, ECAs and other finance parties in national and international transactions. Riko is English law qualified.
- Advising Çalık Enerji Swiss AG on a structured cross-border financing in relation to the construction of a state-of-the-art 1574 MW combined cycle power plant at Kiyanly in Turkmenistan under which guarantee facilities were provided to it by Commerzbank AG in an aggregate amount of US$586.25m and guaranteed by Çalık Enerji San ve Tic. A.S.
- Advising the lenders and UKEF in the financing of a 1,350 GW photovoltaic power plant in the Karapinar region, Konya, Turkey.
- Advising the project company (a JV of the Sponsors, Türkeler and Astaldi) in the original PPP financing of the Etlik Integrated Healthcare Facility in Ankara and in the EUR 1.1 billion restructuring. The restructuring is one of Turkey’s largest restructurings.

Riko Vanezis ist auf alle Aspekte von Infrastruktur- und Energietransaktionen spezialisiert. Er verfügt über umfangreiche Erfahrung in der Projektentwicklung, der Projektfinanzierung, der Exportkreditfinanzierung und bei Umstrukturierung solcher Transaktionen. Er deckt ein breites Spektrum von Infrastruktur- und Energiesektoren ab, darunter Flughäfen, Häfen, Straßen, Tunnel, Krankenhäuser, Abfall, Solar-, Wind- und Wasserkraft. Riko Vanezis verfügt insbesondere über Expertise bei PPP-Transaktionen. Er vertritt Projektentwickler, Sponsoren, Eigenkapitalinvestoren, Projektgesellschaften, multilaterale Organisationen, ECAs und andere Finanzierungspartner bei nationalen und internationalen Transaktionen. Riko Vanezis ist für englisches Recht qualifiziert.
- Beratung der Çalık Enerji Swiss AG bei einer strukturierten grenzüberschreitenden Finanzierung im Zusammenhang mit dem Bau eines hochmodernen 1574-MW-Kombikraftwerks in Kiyanly in Turkmenistan, in deren Rahmen ihr die Commerzbank AG Bürgschaftsfazilitäten in einer Gesamthöhe von 586,25 Millionen US-Dollar zur Verfügung gestellt und von der Çalık Enerji San ve Tic. A.S. garantiert werden.
- Beratung der Kreditgeber und der UKEF bei der Finanzierung eines 1,350 GW-Photovoltaik-Kraftwerks in der Region Karapinar, Konya, Türkei.
- Beratung der Projektgesellschaft (ein Joint Venture der Sponsoren Türkeler und Astaldi) bei der ursprünglichen PPP-Finanzierung der Etlik Integrated Healthcare Facility in Ankara und bei der Umstrukturierung in Höhe von 1,1 Milliarden Euro.
