Simon is a partner in the Capital Markets group.
Simon is a senior capital markets partner with more than 30 years of experience of debt and equity capital markets transactions.
He has advised both underwriters/arrangers and issuers (corporate and sovereign) in relation to the issue of the full spectrum of capital markets products including eurobonds, EMTN programmes, convertible and exchangeable bond offerings and liability management.
Simon has experience of offerings listed on the UKLA, AIM and other exchanges. His practice focusses on Europe and emerging markets, including Russia, Africa, Pakistan, India and Kazakhstan.
Simon has significant experience representing sovereign issuers both in the primary markets and in debt restructurings. He advised the Hellenic Republic on its bondholder meetings as part of its US$200 billion sovereign debt restructuring.
Simon is recognised as a leading lawyer by legal directories Chambers UK, Legal 500 UK and IFLR 1000. Chambers UK 2019 commented Simon “is a noted DCM partner with strong skills in advising on international transactions. Sources say he is “very experienced and really knows what he’s doing.”
