Sulaiman works across several sectors including energy, mining and commodities, transport, and infrastructure. Sulaiman has experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, general corporate matters, as well as commercial agreements in both domestic and cross-border transactions.
Sulaiman is a dual qualified lawyer, qualified in England and Wales and South Africa. Sulaiman has broad experience in emerging market transactions, with a particular focus on Africa.
- Advising the Republic of Guinea on the US$15bn Simandou project, the world’s largest mining and related rail and port infrastructure project.
- Advising a large agricultural conglomerate in relation on its minority investment from Mitsui & Co.
- Advising an Australian listed company on its acquisition of a diamond mine in Lesotho.
- Advising a large infrastructure private equity fund on its acquisition of a 75 MW solar PV asset.
