Susan Dyer Maples focuses on high-stakes, complex international arbitrations and corporate transactions. Her background and experience includes multibillion-dollar disputes and negotiations, including contract and treaty-based arbitrations. Susan has represented clients in over 30 countries in energy, mining, entertainment, infrastructure, and development disputes and negotiations. Her clients include publicly listed corporations, entrepreneurs, privately held companies, sovereign states and state-owned entities, and public international organizations.
Susan’s practice is notable for the commercial experience she brings to her law practice. She has worked for the International Monetary Fund and has advised on financial models and fiscal regimes in various countries.
Susan has been recognized as an ‘Arbitration Future Leader (Partners)’ in the Lexology Index International Arbitration Report 2025 and as a ‘Leading Partner’ in the Legal 500: EMEA 2024 for Kazakhstan Energy and Natural Resources.
