Tram Nguyen is counsel in the projects group.
Tram has over 15 years’ experience representing government entities, sponsors, commercial lenders, multilateral agencies and governments on all stages of Vietnam’s foreign investment project lifecycle. Her practice focusses on energy and infrastructure, banking and finance and general corporate matters.
Tram has extensive experience in the energy sector, regularly advising government entities, sponsors, lenders and investors on large power plant developments and financings.
Tram is recognised for both of her projects and banking and finance expertise in Vietnam. She was recognised as a ‘Rising Star’ in the 30ᵗʰ edition of IFLR1000 and as one of IFLR Asia Future Leaders 2021.
- Advising the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the development of (i) 1,200 MW Vung Ang II BOT coal-fired thermal power project; (ii) 1,200 MW Nghi Son 2 BOT coal-fired power project; (iii) 1,200 MW Vinh Tan 1 BOT coal-fired power project; (iv) 2x 660 MW Van Phong 1 BOT coal-fired power project; and (v) 1,200 MW Mong Duong 2 BOT coal-fired power project.
- Advising a world-class offshore wind developer in development of large-scale offshore wind projects in Vietnam.
- Advising DK Consultants, as consultants for project sponsors, in the development of 4,500 MW LNG to Power Project in Central of Vietnam and 3,000 MW LNG to Power Project in the South of Vietnam.
- Advising prominent banks in Vietnam as onshore lenders on up to US$480m syndicated offshore and onshore facility to Vinhomes for the development of real estate projects in Vietnam.
- Advising Citibank in its process to coordinate K-sure insured financing of up to US$400m to support the expansion plan by LG Display.
