Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce that WFW Italy Managing Partner Eugenio Tranchino’s report ‘Offshore wind overview: Italy’ has been used by the Italian Embassy in Oslo as source material for its recently published Offshore Wind report.
On 29 March 2023, the Italian Embassy in Oslo published its report on its official website to promote collaboration between Italian and Norwegian companies in the offshore wind sector.
Eugenio’s report provides an overview of the offshore wind market in Italy, with a focus on regulatory and business concerns. It overviews key market players, port facilities and wind projects currently under development, as well as potential risks and partnership opportunities for Italian and Norwegian companies working together. The report is now one of the main reference points for market players looking to invest in innovative floating offshore wind technology in Italy.
Eugenio presented his report for the first time in February 2023 in Oslo at “The Italian offshore wind market” workshop organised by the Norwegian Embassy in Rome. The event was held in collaboration with Norwegian Offshore Wind, the largest representative offshore wind body in Norway, and leading renewable energy company Mainstream. The Italian Ambassador to Norway, Stefano Nicoletti, featured as one of the event’s speakers.
