Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised a syndicate of banks and institutional investors (the “Lenders”) on the €213m refinancing of the 49.5 MW Manchasol-2 CSP plant owned by Saeta Yield S.A. (“Saeta Yield”), located in Alcázar de San Juan, Ciudad Real, Spain.
Madrid-headquartered Saeta Yield manages a 936.5 MW portfolio of wind, photovoltaic and solar thermal energy assets in Spain as well as 95 MW and 144 MW of wind energy assets in Uruguay and Portugal respectively.
The WFW Madrid Finance team was led by Partner Rodrigo Berasategui, working closely with Senior Associate Jacobo Hermidas and Associates Antón Ramil and Arancha Ruesta.
Rodrigo comments: “We are very pleased to have assisted Saeta Yield, once again on optimising their debt and taking effective advantage of the current liquidity in the Spanish financial markets. Being instructed on this matter entrenches WFW’s reputation as one of the leading law firms advising on the financing of solar thermal projects”.
