Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised a US-based bank, acting as lender, facility agent and security agent, on a US$22m loan facility to Madison Marine Corp. for the part refinancing of five 4,000-teu container vessels. All five vessels are covered by charters with a leading container liner company.
The cross-border WFW Maritime team that advised the bank on the transaction was led by London Partner Kavita Shah, with New York Partner John Benson leading on the US law aspects of the transaction.
Kavita commented: “We’re delighted to have assisted this long-standing client on a transaction that highlights our ability to provide high-quality legal advice seamlessly across the Atlantic”.
