WFW advises PARQ energy on acquisition of 49 MWp solar project8 April 2025

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised PARQ energy GmbH (“PARQ energy”) on its acquisition of a 49.20 MWp solar park project in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. WFW will also advise PARQ energy on the further development of the project.

PARQ energy is involved in all phases of the project’s life cycle, from planning to the commissioning of solar parks and battery energy storage systems, as well as electrolysers for producing green hydrogen. With expertise across the project life cycle, PARQ energy has experience working on solar and wind power plants with 5.1+ GWp of installed capacity, equivalent to the electricity requirements of around 1,400,000 households in Germany.

The multidisciplinary WFW Germany team that advised PARQ energy was led by Hamburg Corporate Partner Dr Wolfram Böge and Associate Marian Henkes, supported by Associates Lea Alexandra Heick and Albert Merck. Hamburg Partner Dr F. Maximilian Boemke, with Associate Dr Philipp Kleiner, advised on regulatory matters, with Hamburg Partner Dr Sebastian Baum, supported by Associate Josephina Knauf and Transaction Lawyer Stefanie Igl, providing real estate advice. Hamburg Partner Verena Scheibe and Senior Associate Manuel Rustler contributed expertise in tax law.
