Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Sonnedix, the global solar independent power producer (IPP), on the acquisition of an Italian photovoltaic portfolio owned by the Solarig Group.
The 22.3 MW portfolio, located in the seven Italian regions of Molise, Piedmont, Calabria, Abruzzo, Marche, Lazio and Puglia, comprises eighteen photovoltaic plants under the Italian Conto Energia (feed-in tariff) scheme.
WFW advised Sonnedix on the corporate, authorisation, regulatory and finance matters, throughout the due diligence phase and up to the definition of the appropriate contractual and negotiation tools relating to the acquisition.
Sonnedix has over 4GW of total controlled capacity worldwide, and with these acquisitions now has 276MW of operational assets in Italy.
