WFW continues Asia energy expansion with key hire from Sullivan & Cromwell2 August 2024

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce that project finance lawyer Michelle Vickers has joined the firm as Counsel in Hong Kong.

Michelle joins from US firm Sullivan & Cromwell and specialises in international project development and finance matters across the energy sector with notable expertise in the biggest and most groundbreaking power, oil and gas, petrochemicals, mining and commodities and infrastructure projects in the Asia Pacific region.

She joins a dynamic team of industry-leading talent, with a particular strength advising changemakers leading the global energy transition. Notable recent partner appointments to WFW’s Energy Sector include Clarinda Tjia-Dharmadi and Merrick White from McDermott Will & Emery in Singapore.

Clarinda, who has joined WFW’s Global Energy Steering Group, commented: “I am excited to welcome Michelle to WFW’s fast-growing team as we further strengthen the breadth and depth of our project finance offering across Asia to support the vibrant opportunities presented at this time of energy innovation.
