WFW excels in FY2023 energy and infrastructure league tables26 February 2024

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to have once again excelled in the full year 2023 energy and infrastructure league tables by leading sector publications inspiratia, Inframation and IJGlobal, as well as in respected Spanish newspaper Cinco Dias.

The firm’s Inframation rankings were once again exceptional, building on many of last year’s results and obtaining 15 top tier rankings:

  • 1st by deal count, Europe;
  • 1st by deal count, Germany;
  • 1st by deal count, Spain;
  • 1st by deal count, project finance, Europe;
  • 1st by deal count, project finance, Spain;
  • 1st by deal count, M&A, Europe;
  • 1st by deal count, M&A, Germany;
  • 1st by deal count, energy transition and renewables, EMEA;
  • 1st by deal count, energy transition and renewables, Europe;
  • 1st by deal count, energy transition and renewables, Germany;
  • 1st by deal count, energy transition and renewables, Spain;
  • 1st by deal count, renewables, EMEA;
  • 1st by deal count, renewables, Europe;
  • 1st by deal count, renewables, Germany; and
  • 1st by deal count, renewables, Spain.

WFW also ranked first by both deal value and deal count for project finance in Spain by respected local data provider TTR as published in Cinco Dias. The firm did well in inspiratia’s rankings, placing third for deal count for energy transition globally.

In the IJGlobal tables the firm secured six rankings in the top twenty including two new rankings:

  • 16th by value, Project Finance – Sub-Saharan Africa; and
  • 17th by value, Infrastructure – Sub-Saharan Africa.
