International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that Partner and Singapore Head Mei Lin Goh has been nominated to the Lloyd’s List Top 10 maritime lawyers 2017, coming in at number three.
As part of their 2017 Top 100 most influential people in shipping series, the Lloyd’s List Top 10 maritime lawyers 2017 looks at the very best legal minds across maritime law, including arbitration, major and/or novel transactions, and M&As. Mei is noted for her work over the past year, including being part of the worldwide WFW team that acted for the financiers in the US$14bn merger of Hapag-Lloyd and United Arab Shipping Company.
This is the latest high profile recognition for Mei as one of Asia’s leading maritime lawyers, following being awarded the “Maritime Law Award – Individual Lawyer of the Year” at the Lloyd’s List Asia Pacific Awards 2017 in October. She was also named “Best in shipping” at Euromoney’s Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2016 held last November. In addition, WFW was also named Maritime Law Firm of the Year (jointly with leading local Singaporean law firm Allen & Gledhill) at Asian Legal Business’ South East Asia Law Awards 2017 in May of this year.
