Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce that energy and infrastructure expert Paul Simpson has joined the firm as a Partner in London. He joins from CMS where he was Partner in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance team and had previously worked at Shearman & Sterling and White & Case.
Paul specialises in energy and infrastructure financing transactions in the emerging markets space, including project and structured finance and reserve-based lending/borrowing, with experience advising both sponsors and financiers, including numerous ECAs, on a wide range of projects. Additional clients include commercial banks, multilateral agencies and development finance institutions.
The majority of his work involves complex project financing transactions across various sectors in jurisdictions worldwide including Poland, Russia, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Republic of Congo, Senegal, Mozambique, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar.
