Join Watson Farley & Williams for our webinar on ‘Whistleblower Protection Act’ on 18 October 2022.
On 27 July 2022, the Federal Government adopted the draft of the new Whistleblower Protection Act, which will probably be passed by the Bundestag this year. With the new Whistleblower Protection Act, the government is implementing the EU Whistleblower Directive (Directive (EU) 2019/1937), on the basis of which whistleblower protection is to be standardised in the EU member states. The aim of the law is to strengthen the protection of persons who report alleged breaches of the law in companies and public authorities.
In this webinar, we will give you an overview of the future legal situation in order to enable you to deal with the new regulations in a legally sound and actionable manner. In particular, we will look at the design of the reporting procedure, the establishment of internal reporting offices as well as the possibility of involving ombudspersons, taking special account of aspects of labour law and data protection law. Finally, we will also deal with the topic of follow-up measures and give you recommendations for action in this regard. Following the presentation, you will have the opportunity to put your questions to our experts.
