Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) acted as Spanish counsel to Dublin-based Avolon Aerospace (“Avolon”) and its financiers on the acquisition and financing of two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners with the manufacturer’s serial numbers 62171 and 62169, operated by Spanish airline Air Europa Líneas Aéreas, S.A.U. (”Avolon”).
The two aircraft were produced by Boeing in Charleston, South Carolina, and delivered to Avolon on 15 February and 20 March respectively this year. British and Japanese Export Credit Agencies UK Export Finance (UKEF) and Nippon Export acted as insurers and Crédit Agricole as security agent.
The WFW Madrid team advising Avolon led by Asset Finance Partner Alfredo Cabellos and Senior Associate Laura Cadenas, supported by Associates Alejandra Sáinz and Daniel Refoyo.
