Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised SPVs RNE 2 and RNE 5 on the negotiation and execution of two Early Works Agreements and two EPC contracts for the turnkey construction of two photovoltaic plants in Piedmont (Caltignaga) and Lombardy (Ferrera Erbognone), Italy.
The projects, which are being built by CMC Europe Italy (“CMC”) as general contractor, will have a total capacity of 20 MW once operational in mid-2025.
CMC specialises in clean energy sector, notably greenfield development, M&A investment, EPC and O&M services for large-scale photovoltaic power plants and battery energy storage systems.
The WFW Italy Energy team that advised on the agreements was led by Partner Luca Sfrecola, assisted by Senior Associate Giovanni Benedetto and Associate Sonia Basso.
